De verhalende stijl van Jan Voss

Jan Voss 'A Change Of Air' 2005

'I take the printing process as a medium. In the beginning I came into this by drawing. In the middle of the 70’s, I discovered that the printing in itself could be used as a vehicle for your stories, when you move away from your fantasy to a more given structure. I cannot really change the process of the offset machine, but I can try to analyse what is actually happening there. What is it that makes the picture look like it does when it comes out ? If you consider all the components of the machine and if you then start to move them around and change them, you can come to an interesting result' (bron: Mechanical storytelling, Gerrit Rietveld Academie 2010).
